WTA Vogtland: New Submerged Membrane Module (H2L)

Clean water and environment are a basic right of all citizens. Turbidity in your swimming pool water, algae in your zoo pool water or an overloaded water or waste water treatment plant are some of the issues in this regard? For these or similar applications WTA Vogtland has developed a new Submerged Membrane Module H2L.

The product is being launched in the beginning of 2017 for our esteemed worldwide customers. The 2nd generation of the submerged membrane module for filtration applications in water and waste water is being named as H2L – short cut for HYBRID 2nd LEVEL.

Like the name HYBRID states, H2L combines the advantages of two existing submerged module concepts such as back-wash-ability and high packing density (hollow fibers), easy pre-treatment and good hydraulic behavior (flat-sheet). In addition, the multi-layer design of the membrane pockets called SAFE GUARD TECHNOLOGY, ensures a safe rejection of bacteria and solids even if the membrane layer suffers damages. The product is especially suitable for limited tank height and areas.

The design concept of H2L is MODULAR built from the so called USB’s (Ultrafiltration Single Blocks) which are available in different sizes. Based on this concept, H2L is available in 64 different standard sizes ranging from 20 – 500 m2 membrane surface area. Having said so, H2L can be perfectly adjusted and adapted to any treatment performance requirements in order to fulfill the needs of plant owners, operators and EPC companies.

The modular design allows a very easy handling, e.g. the H2L module can be constructed, dismantled or serviced directly in the filtration tank without using lifting devices or cranes as all USB’s can be handled by man power. This helps a lot to save time and money and is a prerequisite in projects with low installation heights.
